I was in the Navy and in Palma in late 1991 I think, and we ended up in a small bar and he was sitting there in the corner, we asked the waiter if it was him and he said yes, he also owns the bar.
So I being a huge fan of his, went up to him and asked for an autograph, he said sure, but not right now, he's far far too busy and asked if I could come back tomorrow and he would hang out with us for a bit.
So we were all thinking how cool it was going to be to party with Benny Hill....
We got to the bar early the next night so we would have plenty of time and found the bar was closed for the season and under renovation, we then found out the night before was the "last party of the season".....
I was pretty pissed about this for a few years until I told a friend about it and he laughed and said I was lucky, Benny Hill played a joke on me and how many others can say that?
