i would guess that because ev1 are so big and so cheap, law of averages says that a lot of cheaters probably host with them. if you use your own dns with ev1 you may find that you are ok though.

Use Webair. They have a 10mbs virtual plan for $199 that is perect for the hardcore TGP picture poster.

Because all of the cheaters and scammers sucked up their prices like flies on shit and just hopped from box to box as their IPs were banned.
Get a new IP and use your own DNS and you'll have no problems.

debbieN I'm not sure why some tgps don't like ev1, they have a quality network.

I have five servers with EV1.net I really like the service, up-time and monitoring. It looks as though I will have to get one just for those TGPs that have problems with them.

you can take down ev1.net server with a hun posting belive me its been done, a burst of bandwidth on ev1 they are not that stable. they may have big bandwidth but the connection they put your server on is not so good.

Exactly, Head-Surfer from EV1 said so himself, they oversell like mad and their 10mbit ports are not ment to be maxed out.

All makes sense now.

I got banned from many TGPs all at once for having a gallery down for too long. Huge spikes in bandwidth.

I had one gallery declined on The Hun that is on an EV1 box, and others accepted that are on EV1. Is this a recent change? I emailed The Hun about this but it is too soon for a reply.

I also buy banners on the Hun main page and host them off of EV1 with no issue. EV1 is probably the best connected consumer host in America.

Puzzling.

I only had problems at two tgp with my galleries at EV1, not at The Hun yet. I also had no problems with the server or connection, currently I use about 800Gb per month and all is well with the connection and server.

The servers are normally burstable to up to 12Mbit.Over that and you could get problems.

I would not recommend them to anyone. We had a box down for WEEKS - they were not responding to emails. I gave up and moved all our rackshack hosting to webair. That was so nice.
