I am known to take shots at new and upcoming Content Providers and Designers and over the past 2 years I never been ripped off. However now it happend to me twice in one month and I am not happy.
I tried resolving the problem over the phone and via email to no prevail.
Rip-Off Number 1 - [email protected] answered my plea for Gallery Templates. I needed them quickly and he promised to deliver quickly. So I bit. On Apr. 16, 2004 I send 50% down via Paypal and the turn-around supposed to be 1 week later. I waited 10 days and didn't hear from him. I emailed and received a reply saying he had family problems and to be patient. uhm, well I needed a quick turn-around, however I gave him the benfit of the doubt and allowed him another 3 days. I waited 7 more days!! Nothing. I emailed and ICQ'd him telling him that it was crucial to have the templates by May 1st.. Nothing. so I hired somebody else to make them. Since May 1st now he has promised me on an almost daily basis to refund me my $ 125.00. I went to far than to tell him that I will give him until the 20th of May to refund my money. I looked to day - NOTHING - So looks like I can kiss it good-bye or start a Paypal dispute - So be aware everybody..
Rip-Off Number 2 - Now I do have to give the guy the benefit of doubt. He advertised his Springbreak CD on GFY and I was totally excited because I couldn't make it this year. So on April 9th I send him via Paypal $ 50.00 and soon after I received the supposent CD.. Well it came in DVD format and didn't work in any of my Computer DVD players, NADA, Nothing, empty space. I contacted the seller and asked him about it. He told me that he DID say that it would come on DVD and not CD Rom (uhm nope, he said CD) and that if he would put it on CD Rom it be like 6 CD's and maybe something is wrong with my DVD Player. Well nothing is wrong with it, matter of fact I just bought a brand new laptop and it doesn't work there either. He told me to send the DVD back to him and he would replace it for me.. I told him I needed it in CD format and asked if that was possible.. Well I never got an answer back from him. I don't want to send the DVD back unless I get CD's back. Now I know the guy is reptuable on GFY and I never beat on people unless its getting annoying.
It's getting annoying - His company is Rpet Entertainment, Inc. So http://www.adultaffiliateservices.com if you read this, could you please answer me. Tell me if you can send me CD';s instead of the DVD and I will return your DVD today (or whenever you answer me)

Just got burnt myself just recently. People just forget its STILL a business I guess. It really chaps my ass.
