Where on the beach did you stay? All the beaches on the panhandle and Gulf side pretty much look like that. If you're staying in a beach house away from the condos and businesses, then of course there will be more sea oats and dunes. Sometimes there will be a red tide, or a big storm will wash in seaweed and there will be a big line of that crap all the way up the beach. Jellyfish wash in sometimes, too. I agree with Holly. My mom has lived in Gulf Shores, Alabama for many years. Those pictures are exactly what the beaches look like.
I'll be there Memorial Day Weekend... if you're still there then let me know and I'll hook you up with a HUGE family party. Boats... beer, but not at the same time!

I was actually supposed to be in Destin (also very beautiful) on MD weekend. I work with some cheerleaders and some of them have been asked to perform in this little rinky dink thing that Saturday, so now I'm in limbo. Actually, it was me who was supposed to be there. Two of my friends from Sarasota are coming up and one of them has a relative with a condo there. My roommate who lived in Niceville is living in Georgia now, so she was going to come down, too. My girls are performing somewhere else, so now I have to try and talk them out of it. It's nothing important, anyway.
I haven't been to Cash's in a long, long time. I know he had some trouble with the state (I think), but at one time that place was packed all the time. When he would have those $10,000 wet tshirt contests, you couldn't even get in.War National Damn Champions EagleComment
