I picked a very old thread (notice the Last Post date) and continuously refreshed it for less than a minute. The result - 60 more "Unique" Views for the thread.

Isn't GFY supposed to only count UNIQUES?
That said, I guess 38,000 views for the Paris Hilton thread simply mean 38,000/22 pages/3 refreshes on avg. per active user = ~ 500 or 600 webmasters
