    What's the best Firewall software to use?

    I'm looking for a good firewall software that will keep away the bad stuff, but won't pop up a message everytime I load ICQ or something like that...

    which one can you recommend?

      Software wise, zonealarm seems to be the choice. But you really should invest in some hardware (ie router, they are darn cheap nowadays. Plus they're pretty much plug and play.

                  interesting how everyone uses zonealarm.
                  after all the testing i did on it, i found it was nothing but a logging device. didnt seem to block anything. i use sygate pro which
                  seems to do the best job, although if you're behind a router, a software firewall for the most part is just wasting memory.

                      I did NOT like ZoneAlarm. It was more of a pain in the ass.
