ok...let me start from the beginning and list the components.

motherboard

the hdd

When I got everything installed I made diskettes to format and partition the sata drive on another computer.

I turned on the new computer with the diskette in it as per manufacturer specs and when I turned the puter on I get a blank screen...the light on the monitor still blinks like there's no signal.

I get no bios or command prompt. Well actually...I don't know that since I can't even see what's going on...it seems to me there'd be some sort of standard vga drivers that would allow me to see SOMETHING.
