Blackflies are worse, the little fuckers. They swarm you. And they aren't nice like mosquitos..they actually take fucking chunks out of you and leave you pouring blood. I remember one of my kids went out in blackfly season without a bug jacket for ONE MINUTE, came in POURING blood down his face. It was sick. And those bites itch 1 million times more than mosquito bites. And they HURT. I can't wait to get away from them!!Comment

We have mosquitoes, but they arent that bad. The weather changes so much here that its hard for them to live too long. Its not all that unusual for it to snow in July. I read that if you put citrus lotion on your body.. you will not get any bites.. they hate the smell... especially lemon ... there everywhere in the summer time here too... especially when ya live on the lake
