It was stated by a judge that if they could prove that by eating McDonalds everyday that there was a serious risk they could have won their case. So that was the only point that was being made there.
More importantly I think the most disturbing part of the film was the lunches that kids are served in school and the lack of guidence that is given on the meals that are eaten. I found it great that problem children were able to change their diet and see a difference in their behavior.
I do believe that people need to take responsability for themselves and not blame cigerettes for making them sick when they suck them down, or food for making them fat.

I know the story behind the film, though I do still think it does cast a pretty bad light on the Mcdonalds chain even though that was not their intention.
Yes it is very disturbing what is served in schools. I know the schools in our area have fast food options within them and I find that sad.
