Do you think GFY becoming know to the mainstream public, via say 20/20 CNN whatever, would be a good thing or a bad thing for GFY and Webmasters that post here?

(forgetting the technical issues of all that traffic, assume GFY can handel the load)

What percentage of people that post here do you think are actually real webmasters? It seems to be 90% people posting are either working for a program spamming, shills for programs that probably dont even have websites, surfers that found a link at the bottom of a tgp, post count whores and sig whores. Actual threads with quality information or business are buried in the archives from a time when this board was alot different.

Sad but true

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Well, I found out about GFY from an article on Wired's website over a year ago (if you consider that mainstream.) After reading some of the *good* posts here I started some online businesses (non porn) and quit my job 6 months later. I run over 10 mainstream websites now and will be launching my first adult site in a few months.

It seems like the quality is rapidly dropping here and becoming a lot more general. There is no way anyone doing real work can even catch half of the good threads here without spending a solid 2 hours a day on GFY now.

I think the common bond on this board is that we are mostly in the porn business, despite the topics being posted, and the general public posting will take that bond away. It is a specific network with common needs in most instances

well, My site may be small and relitively new to the world but I still do everything myself so I think I count as a real webmaster

If not..oh well.
