Cathy is a really nice person, I'm sorry to see her get stuck in this. I don't think she really understood what was going on with the whole mess the last year or two, and that she thought things would have had a different outcome.
I always liked Cathy personally. She seems like a good person.
I would imagine leading Ibill right now is like being given command of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg. It's not funny anymore, Ibill seems doomed.
I still haven't seen anyone say exactly what Ibill is going through right now. I know they're not paying webmasters, but WHY is this? Why can't they just cut everyone a check for what they've billed?
Does anyone actually know? Or are we all just guessing what the deal is?

Xenigo it all started because they lost their acquiring bank and have never been able to find another one. Everything else has flowed on from there - it was big news late last year and I don't know how you missed it - it was on just about every webmaster board on the planet.

Thanks for the reply, Steve. Somehow I missed that. I never used to keep up on processing because I'm only now getting into running paysites. Any idea why they can't get a new acquiring bank? If CCBill, Jettis and Epoch have them, I can't imagine why iBill would have an issue...

Basically because no bank will touch iBill - if you're interested in the full story you should make yourself a cup of coffee or three and do a search here. There have been some very long and very informative threads about it.
People have likened this to the Globill collapse but Globill went overnight. iBill have been collecting rebills for months and have only paid out a fraction of what they must have collected. There are some paysites owners out there who are in real trouble thanks to iBill.
They have made promise after promise about paying and they are always 'moving forward' with their plans to pay webmasters but they only ever seem to slip further and further behind. There must come a point where criminal proceedings against the people in charge at iBill must become a real possibility .
Im pretty sure this was expected as I heard about a new management team coming in last week. I just hope theres still monies left to manage at this point

How would the President of the company not know what's going on within a two year period of heading the company? Are there many people above her that made all the decisions (ex. is the President above or below a CEO)? I apologize for my ignorance about the structure of companies.

If Ibill does not have a US acquiring bank, how are they able to rebill?
xenigo - Jettis went under too as far as a thrid party processor.

That's a good question and I'd be curious to know what the answer is. Are all the rebills and sales simply pending? For months?
As for Jettis, they didn't go under. Jettis still processes ACH. Their Credit Card processing was grandfathered/almagamated into Paycom under mutual agreement so nothing was lost and processing continues seemlessly for former Jettis clients. Jettis looked after it's clients.

KK, Cathy is a nice person but was not cut out to manage iBill out of this mess that her mentor, GB, got the company into. Cathy knew all the issues with what has happened over the last few years that got iBill into this mess. I am sure she sat in on meetings when the dollar transactions for BN was ok'd, and the posting of multiple cross sells from non-ibill join pages was ok'd, and the dollar transactions for the kids charity and the imports from the Aussies, etc., efucking cetera.
That is the shit that got the company into the mess it is in.

Like she was actually managing anything. Can you say figurehead boys and girls?
If Cathy is bailing, I have no doubt that there are some other iBill staff who will hit the door right behind her.
Little doubt, Cathy resigned for good reasons yesterday and others will follow.
A large number of folks have already moved out of the scenario - some for their own reasons like, covering their asses and saying nothing to avoid a subpoeona.

The President is just an officer of the company. They can be apppointed and chucked out as the shareholders and board see fit. Cathy does not "own" iBill :-)
