        The whole Iraq situation is fucked up. The pre-emptive strike on Iraq with no solid facts is a big mistake. It tells the world its OK to invade a country with only a "hunch".

        If theres another strike on U.S. soil, and it's time for the U.S. to invade another country, our credibility will be in the shitter.

        Do people honestly think that fighting in Iraq will make Iraqi citizens support us? Their country is in shambles, ex-Iraqi government officials are being re-instated by U.S. officials under the condition of U.S. support.

        Personally I feel that Iraq is a new playground for terrorists to pick off as much U.S. units as possible, and at the same time, it's an excellent recruiting ground for them. GWB doesn't give a fuck about the soldiers, liberating Iraqi's, the U.S. economy, nothing.. its about getting his campaign supporters what they need, oil, before re-election time. The only shit that matters to him, is his approval rating.

        Oh yeah, all of your personal freedom's are slowly getting tightened. Civil liberties anyone?

                    Some of them were not considered to be common people. Some of them were sent there for further interrogation from US Unit Commanders from various parts of Iraq as possible "high value" suspects...after having been interrogated in the Unit Commanders detention facilities. These are the ones that were in the separate part of the prison and these are the ones that were being "prepped" by the MP's involved.

                                                            The former CG of the 101'st Airborne Division that served in Iraq for about a year...made the statements this morning...during an interview. He is being sent back to Iraq as the CG in charge of all Iraqi military and security training. So you still remain clueless.

Remember, most of these government officials attended the "best" universities in the nation. If it wasn't for the protesters, the Dick Cheney's of the world would be more than happy to send as many US soldiers to their death as it takes to fight a war that has no forseeable end. To them soldiers are as expendable as the dead Iraqi women and children they call collateral damage. His only concern is ensuring he can make more billions from his Haliburton company once he gets access to that oil. It's scary when so many are so uncritical especially when they have the means to be critical. They would rather listen to Rush Limbaugh who thinks abusing prisoners is ok. It's easy to want to abuse people who MAY be guilty of violence but we cannot go down that path if we want to show Iraqi's democracy and a better way to live, which was the secondary goal of this mission right?

                                                                                I should add that many times those who legitimately criticize the US are called haters when in fact they're the opposite. I think few people would want the US as a power to disappear over night. It's a great country and helps to maintain a stable world (perhaps with the exception of the war it's now involved in).

                                                                                Somebody said it best on a TV show I watched last week. He compared the US to your child. As a parent you don't criticize your children when they're doing wrong because you hate them. You do it because you love them and want to correct their behavior because you know they're capable of better. Therefore some of those that are the US's harshest critics are those that love their country the most. I know I do.
