Lens,

This board desparetly needs more MODS that can monitor this place when you or whoever else is supposed to be can't.

It's getting out of control to the point now where a lot of the people who allocate time here to offer advice, help, genuinely interesting topic discussions, etc. are getting very frustrated with this lack of supervision.

Maybe a solution is to see who would volunteer to be MODs, you review the candidates, and then let GFY vote the ones they feel would be best suited as board leaders so everyone gets to participate in the process.

Please act on this. This is the best board in the biz, but it won't be forever if its not managed with at least some basic board discipline and rules enforcement , which seems to be the case now.

What's everyones thoughts? I know I've gotten e-mails and ICQ's on this topic so I'm not alone on this.

There's a lot of the large volume posters that keep GFY active on one of their PC's all the time while they are working online.

So there are enough candidates I'm sure who would volunteer. If you pick 4 new Mods from this group, you'll always have at least 1 around.

Maybe even if giving people administrative power is too huge a step, just ask a few active posters to watch the boards and report any crap to a Mod who can take care of it. Then the mods you have and trust are still making the final call about things, but someone is keeping on eye on the board at all times.

SIG TOO SMALL! Maximum 1200x600 button and no more than 30 text lines of ALL SIZES and COLORS. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 6240x4800 instead of a 1024x800.

That's most likely true. While there's some people here that need to go, there's also people that have have board drama with others over things that shouldn't necisarily get you banned.

People might actually have to get creative with marketing again,

Moderator is a bad idea - nobody likes a netcop and i don't think anybody wants to be put in that role, ask AMP how much fun it was. You might not have the other issues AMP did with manic depression but you won't like it much more than he did.

here's what I propose - a GFY Star Chamber of justice. The top 10 GFY members based on respect and post count are the Star Chamber. They hold a secret vote amongst themselves to ban or not ban an idiot or troublemaker, majority rules, 6 yes votes and buh bye. Simple email system, when somebody like this PantyhoseLolita idiot or SOBE shows up - send out an email cc:'d to all the other Star Chamber members, simple yay or nay reply.

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
