Would you bring your girlfriend/signifigant other to an industry convention?

I'm planning on going to Webmaster Access in July. I was originally gonna bring a mainstream webmaster buddy with me, but my girlfriend wants to come, so I'll probably end up bringing her instead. Is this recommended?

P.S. I've never been to a convention before.

I'd bring mine but she never wants to after she went to the first couple. She's in the biz too and knows some of the peeps but I guess she prefers to get drunk with her old timer friends. =]

Yes Eva has been to a few and some she liked and some she did not. For her it's work.

I think it depends on the show, Vegas can be good because you can ge lost in the crowds. Miami is not so good becasue it's nearly all industry in the same hotel.

Don't be so worried about people hitting on yoyr GF, she loves you it will mean nothing to her but some playful and complimentry flirting.

Be aware that if your wife has any sort of doubts about her own attractiveness, that a show will probably fuck with her head a while... you may think she's irresistable, but women can get kind of a fucked up perspective about themselves and seeing all the 'perfect people' walking around can result in a hotel room meltdown.

Although she may get mutiple modeling offers (it happens), you'll find out for sure whether she can handle your line of work. She needs to for your relationship to last long term. I'd recommend bringing her.

I would. Whether or not she'd come would be another story. She doesn't like large crowds, and large rowdy crowds would be even worse. Maybe to the smaller quieter functions. I can seriously see myself knocking some fucker out for trying to treat her like content.
