That's why FREE CONTENT is not really free.... We are indeed paying for it.
I think at some point a sponsor with balls will start a smaller scale or different payout system that works for them without shaving and the word will get out. I would much rather make less per sale but really know what the true stats are. It would take one of the larger companies to start on this though...
I agree that the best strategy is to move towards starting and promoting your own sites. It can be done on smaller levels and you can still make pretty good bank. Then you will also see what the real deal is with your traffic...
