Lennon & McCartney were music geniuses and generation changers.

When they arrived in America music went into a whole new direction.

If you strip away the sentimentality of it all, you'd realize that Dylan blows the fucking beatles away.

Most of their George Martin produced stuff plainly sucks.

Also, most of their 'innovations' have been innovated before by socalled 'garage bands'

One thing I can give them credit for, they really knew how to CASH IN on baby boomers. Being an adult webmaster and promoter, THAT I gotta respect!

it was 1972 or '73, they had 2 albums out, I remember that I was only vaguely familiar with them, but they did impress the hell out of me.

I like going to concerts where I am unfamiliar with the lead act, and they turn out to be great. Black Sabbath was one act that I had never heard of prior to seeing them, but I rushed out and bought their album the next day.
