When I started this business it was at $1.46. A few years later I remember transfering $3k USD over to my Canadian account on one particular day and the exchange rate was $1.62. heh heh.... that was sweet.

Nice to see it creeping back to the $1.40 range finally.

you don;t get the higher rate, you get the lower rate which is about 1.36-1.37. if you buy american you pay 1.4.
