    Napster - Anyone use it?

I am trying their 30 day free trial and glad I did. I've been downloading songs like a madman...some great work stuff...some old stuff...some even older stuff.
Been really enjoying some old Willie, Waylon, Johnny and Kris along with some Jimmy Scott...some Pearl Jam etc.

Been able to try out some groups I wouldn't have bothered buying their CD's to begin with..but kinda like them now.

I love how you can download an entire album in under 5 minutes...it's a great service so far when it's pretty much unlimited downloads for $9.95 a month...with the exception of a few songs for 99cents..haven't ran into too many of those to even concern myself with it.

I've done the whole "share" thing..but god it's a waste of time.
Sitting around waiting for days for a song to download when I can get it pretty much immediately for only $9.95 a month after the free trial IMO is much cooler ;)

My biggest problem now is trying to think of who else to sample...so many groups out there now and I rarely listen to the radio.

Honestly that's cool, but it sounds like the last time you used p2p was when napster first came out and you where on dialup. Takes me about 30 seconds to download a song through shareaza, and haven't come across one fake yet.

I spent the last 2 weeks trying to get songs from the new greenday album on shareza..and I'm on cable...I log into Napster and I have not only the entire album in minutes but just about every other song they've ever done, as well as uncensored versions of the songs..the only version I could get of American Idiot to dld on shareza was censored.

I'd use it but chances are they don't have 90% of the songs that I'd be looking for. I use Soulseek to discover new music and then get actual CDs of music that I like.

I'm still hooked on I-Tunes but Napster does look cool too. To me, if you can't afford $.99 for a song or $9.95 per month then you shouldn't have a fucking computer to begin... Leech.

Seriously that's weird man. I will admit that I usually go for the main songs on an album, so I guess there could be difficulty getting the other songs on there. But I downloaded American Idiot uncensored like 1 week after it came out, and it took me less than a minute. Anyway, each to his own, but the Napster thing is sucky since the music stops unless you keep paying.

I doubt I'm gonna cancel anytime soon...and the thing is in the last 2-3 years I've bought more music because of the internet *sharing* than I ever have in my life.

If I choose to move on and want to keep some songs I'll either purchase and burn the cd or go to the store and buy it.
