The TT cab is about the perfect car...handling,power,looks in a convertible.However,this car is not anywhere near the same range as an M3 or a C2.. My local dealer delivered a turbo cab a few weeks ago and the sticker on that was 165kYou might not be as anonymous as you think you are. -

i was in a similar predicament last summer. i was looking at new 911's and M3's. i ended up getting a C4S. the Porsche is a lot more money, but well worth it imo. it just 'feels' right. Not exactly a daily driver for me, I probably take it out 3 or 4 days a week - it's an absolute blast to drive. the all wheel drive system kicks serious ass, and the sound of the engine...
if you can, try to test drive both (I was able to drive a C4 and M3 almost back to back, and this made the choice obvious for me).
both are great cars - you really can't go wrong. good luck with your purchase.we'll miss you our friend. RIPComment

Xapster, here is my answer and why. The Porsche all the way, M3's are great cars nontheless but in the winter they are sloppy. I know my neighbor has an m3 and even with winter tires he hates driving it in the snow, the 911 c4 is all wheel drive, since you live in Toronto it would be your best all around bet as its more pimp in the summer and drives better in the winter. I drove an Audi RS6 the other day, 4 wheel drive 450hp wow what beast.
