great pix, that might give folks here a chance to reflect on world events.
if you are well-traveled you will realize that the entire world embraces western culture (mostly USA culture).
some 60 years ago it was Japan that was the "evil empire".
and now a country the size of california with very little of it's own natural assets is an economic giant.
these pix show how average people in Japan look, how they live, the signs on buildings indicate a modern society, many signs in english.
now folks can say western culture is bad or good.
but take a look at how people in iraq live---how the common man lives right now.
and then maybe you can make a guess about the merits of western culture in the middle east.
