    A good deal for someone with roofing experience

    I'm looking for someone that has roofing experience. Not putting on a gutter for your mom.... someone that has done roofing and knows their shit.

    I would like to work with you on sorting out all the details, but the overview is, I will buy all the materials, pay you for the job, fly you to the islands, put you up for a week or whatever, and provide all the food and booze you require. (plus some fun shit along the way)

    So, in a nutshell, it's a quick job that you get paid for, plus a free vacation on Maui.

                  Funny, Im having my roof done now.

                  Company out of Carlsbad, CA.

                  Patriot Roofing, they are doing sweet work, and covered 4500 Sq.Ft. in less than a week, with new skylights and the whole works.

                  Owner is young and aggressive, highly recommended.

                                  shingles or hot tar or what? do you know the pitch of the roof? whats the weather like? whats it paying besides the trip and beer? how much needs done?

                                  not that i would do it, i swore id never roof again, but someone who might be into this would want to know this stuff

                                  amp, you could read up on it if it was just a small amount of shingle work and odds are knock it out yourself

                                      It's a cedar shake roof. It needs full replacing with cedar shake. (tear off the old, put on the new) Regular shingles are not an option.

                                      I don't know the pitch of the roof, but it's not steep. Open beam ceiling so there's no attic or insulation or anything to deal with.

                                      Work will be limited to between 8am and 4-30pm every day (except weekends... no weekends) due to community regs. I don't expect it would take more than 5 days max to do the job. Sooner it's done, the sooner he can screw off on the beach for the rest of the week.

                                      The weather is beautiful, as always. Sunny, 86 degrees, view of the ocean, beach across the street if it gets too hot. Water is 80 degree bath water and crystal blue. Waves are good.

                                      Don't know the sq footage of the roof, but if I had to guess, I'd say approx. 2000 sq ft needs doing.

                                      Job will pay approx $3k - $5k give or take, depending on experience and level of professionalism.

                                      No, I can't do it myself. I'm a graphic artist, not a roofer. I have trouble changing lightbulbs.

                                                                          I need this done for real people.... and this is not some bullshit propaganda. It's a real job and a real offer. I have 2 people interested in it so far, but it doesn't sound like they will be able to make time for a trip any time this year..... and that's not gonna work for me. I need this done soon.

                                                                                      worst case scenario is I don't find anyone and I end up using the local boys. I already have 2 estimates, and while I'm capable of doing that, I'd rather not. I figured someone here would've had some roofing experience that would like to make $5k for a few days work plus a free trip.....

                                                                                      but if I'm wrong, hey, I can always make one phone call to the local guys and have them here tomorrow.

                                                                                                          If not myself i'm sure one the owner or the owners son would be interested and they are both very experienced my boss has been roofing for over 20 years in new jersey. So you'd be working with a professional roofer contact me for information i'd definately have to talk to them about it first i know one of them would be interested though.
