They do disclose it and they tell you that ONE of the things they do is montior the email for keyword inclusins for google adwords , but im sure there is alot more things than that at work..
By monitoring your entire email history with a computer they can build a user database of every signle person. Things like..
When they surf, when they answer emails/send emails , how often they email , what sort of words they use , what sort of things they buy.
They could then sell that info or use it for other google products..
