True.
What im excited about is if they can do it why cant CCbill or Ibill expand to Canada and do the same? That would be great.
Ray
ps. I havent forgot about our power lunch. Been having some minor problems with my baby girl the past couple weeks(nothing serious). I should be available by the end of the month.
Would surely be awesome if they can process cards beyond North America... I have all the trouble in the world finding a "resident agent" in the states.. willing to give out his personal info to ccbill....

Well no actually, get a few chargebacks and you are done. The Moneris gateway isn't exactly tailored to the kind of fraud you would get in online adult transactions either.
Just ask one of their sales clowns about excessive chargebacks for NON adult transactions, let alone adult.

While that may be the case, that's a policy/operational issue that has nothing to do with how solid a company is behind this operation, especially compared to some of the fly-by-nights we have seen and I have personally been burned by.

Monopolistic charter banks in Canada are about as solid as it gets from that standpoint. They also couldn't care less if they get your business or not and can change their minds at any second and decide to stop processing adult transactions.
And like the other guy says... don't forget to charge GST

Thank god the rates are getting back to something decent..i'm tied of this 1USD = 1.28 CAd shit
.65 cents? That was 2 years ago.
It's 71.69 as of today... dropped from 76 cents a few months back.

wow... I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for a Candian processor that doesn't do all of their processing overseas... definitely worth looking into.

Since you already work, I guess that integration of Moneris Canada would be easily done with Netbilling?
We are already integrated with Moneris' banking solutions. Does that answer your question or am I missing something.

I spoke too soon. We did some transaction analysis today of some of our Moneris merchants and it seems as though for a period of time there were a huge foreign card decline rate but that has sionce subsided and all is well. We have a meeting with Moneris tomorrow about setting up new 5967 accounts so please stay tuned and I will post the results of that meeting here tomorrow night.
Thanks, Mitch

Netbilling has never helped me. They always say we accept adult this and adult that but when it came down to selling real product and not hot air Netbilling has always failed me.
I've seen mitch, on numerous accounts, say that they will gladly accept tangiable products and yet he was never able to do so for me and all i got was call this person and call that person.
Why go through a 3rd party? Just go directly to Moneris.

not just online adult... but online adult does fall into that category. the category is called "Inbound Teleservices Merchant" and it includes anyone providing services/information (not tangible goods). adult websites are included, but so are regular websites offering subscriptions as well as things like sports tips lines and horoscope lines.
all in all, this is some pretty awesome news. for those thinking the merchant fees seem a little low, keep in mind that we're talking the fees for a merchant account, not for processing through a 3rd party IPSP.

CCBill Canada would be like a dream come true!
I have contacted CCBill regarding Moneris, not much in terms of a reply except for that they will bring it up with their CFO. CCBill has already tried setting up in Canada and even said they had a Canadian bank ready to work with them but claimed to me anyway that it was not worth it because of a lack of interests from Canadian companies saying many of them had already inc.ed their companies in the US or in Europe.

I hope CCBill actually did a more exhaustive study of real interest from CDN's beyond the post they made on 2 message boards asking if there was any interest. I didn't reply in the thread and am sure 99% of interested parties didn't as well.

not only that, but there were looking for people who'd be processing 10s of thousands of dollars of transactions monthly.
