I wouldn't bother unless the "dirt" is something that directly effects people's business dealings with the person. For instance, I wouldn't bother posting here that Person X is an alcoholic philanderer but if Person X was reselling some content and I knew for a fact that he had not paid the producer or did not have the appropriate permission to resell, I would dime him out in a second.
