I race scca every weekend... solo 1 and solo 2 road tracks... circle racing is a little different but easy none the less... let me know if you got a car you want me to race and I will get you high points... I been racing about 8 years... started out with open wheel out here at the las vegas motor speedway now I race on road tracks... but if your looking for a driver that can take you to the top I am your man... and I am cheap.... cause I love racing.... I can hang with the big boys as long as my car is 70% tuned as theres is...

        The following article was included:
        2007 Toyota Supra
        On Sale : Unknown
Rumors suggest that this is the version of the next-gen Supra that is most likely to hit production, if at all. Drawing from the 1960s 2000GT, this retro-themed Supra may receive anything from a boosted V6 to a V8, or even a V12 in its top form. Though Toyota deny it, the Supra definitely will make a comeback in the near future.
There are tons of these rumors in every import magazine, they're all untrue... Toyota has released some official statements (they're posted by a Toyota employee on Supraforums), and the MKV Supra (if there ever will be one) has nothing to do with all the "spy shots" or concept pictures that are being released.

I still think that if Toyota doesn't charge too much for the new Supra's, they will sell really well. A 1998 (last production year) Supra is still in the $18,000-$25,000 range.

Maybe if you test drove the two, you would see that the Lexus is a lot better and classier then the regular Toyota but your dumb ass wouldn't even think abou the class part would ya.

                          $25k! I wish.

A stock 1998 with low mileage will get $35k easy.

Granted they were $50k+ when they were new. And the car stock kicks the shit out of most production cars, let alone with some relatively easy mods.

Track is normaly a road course and less than a mile long. But with a decent straight you'll get up to 85 - 90 easily.
yea the sit ups run much shorter courses, but in the lay downs we ran the big tracks such as Daytona with the road course (just like the super bikes run) Road Atlanta was another track.. as well as most of the other big car road course's..

Most of these tracks are closer to two miles or so, which means the speeds are much faster for the most part. The 250cc I drove was not my kart I normally ran a standard 100cc. on the big tracks we were around 130-140mph. At Daytona it was pretty common to start 40 or more guys in one race.. Gets pretty insane on the first lap.

This is a pic of a kart close to what I'm talking about, but I believe this one is a 125cc and it has less body work.. The one I drove had a bigger nose and better looking body..

well that guy is sitting up abit too much IMO.. when I am in my kart I'm pretty much flat on my back and only my head is sticking up. Mine also has a bigger body to cut down on the wind resistance. The only draw back is, you can't see a lot, but once you get used to that, it's not to bad.

no, once you start you're pretty much on your own.. I've seen a few guys with radios but not many. I don't think it would really help much, because at most of the tracks you can't see the entire track from the pits.

I'd love to race lugna seca speedway.. but for the most part I stick to the south east race tracks, mostly Florida and Georga .

Laguna's OK but Sears/Infineon and Thunderhill blow it away.

700-800 horsepower from 4000-8000 rpm is pretty good. Sure, below 4k it's pretty dead, but once the power is on, it's on!

I do both, mainly wrench and build the motors. Heres some history for ya, you can thank Ford for bringing you the dual overhead cam engine to the masses....way back in the early 60's. Below is a 427 "cammer" that if you wanted to buy today in original condition would cost more than most peoples house, if you can find one.

As far as traction goes, I'm going to get the Realtime traction control system.

I'd really like to build something along the lines of a big block chevy in a '64 Nova II ( I think that's the year, I love those cars in black. )with two of the turbos off of my Supra on it. I don't know what block would be cheap / reliable at levels beyond 1000+ rwhp. With my Supra, the stock shortblock costs less than $2,000 US to replace and it can handle 1000 rwhp. Someone told me before if I wanted a big block to handle that kinda power I would be looking at $20,000 US!!!!

                                                                                                  Is that true?!?!?
For one understand the rotating mass in 6's is obviously alot less than a v8. Slinging all that weight around at 7k rpm is stress alone on internal parts. BBC like the 454 is dirt cheap and every chevy pickup truck in the 70's had one. Go to an american junkyard and get the long block for 100 dollars max. Shoot for 1.75-2.0 hp per cubic inch and you have your self 800-1000 hp very easily with a big block. Im no import expert but looking at the law of physics up and beyond 1000 hp in a flat head 6 is gonna run you a shit load more than 2000 dollars to keep it alive and reliable. From my experiences with a few guys who played with supras, reliability is a huge issue. Maybe they have changed. Also remember big blocks dont need twin turbos to make huge power. A naturally aspirated flat 6 would be an absolute dog without a power adder such as turbo. You could easily build a 454 making 800hp for dirt cheap. They live forever to which is a bonus

What do you guys think. We all start with the same body, and the same size engine block. We then have 3 months to put it all together and see what turns out the best looking and the fastest.

I believe there are several Supras in the 900-1000 rwhp range on the stock block. I believe around 1000 rwhp is the limit on the stock shortblock. Those shortblocks cost $2,000 US from Toyota.
