Nydahl, this is 2005, 5 years ago, in 2000, Hong Kong was already under Chinese control. They have been since 1997.

But even before 1997, anyone could have seen that coming as the declaration was signed and agreed on in 1984 as you can see in an article at http://www.bbc.co.uk/politics97/hk/briefing.shtml. On paragraph explains it well: "Talks aimed at negotiating a settlement on Hong Kong began in July 1983 and were concluded by the signature of the Joint Declaration on December 19 1984 by the British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, and her Chinese counterpart, Zhao Ziyang."

Those "yellow spam guys" as you put it are seldom promoting anything near adult related. If they do, they get shut down pretty fast by the government anyways. More often, it's "white spam guys" that rent servers but Chinese servers are normally used for things other than adult. Ask any Chinese BP host if you can do adult and you will see what I mean.

Hong Kong's SAR has a different status as they are under the politic of "one country, two systems". Magazines such as playboy are sold there but not on the mainland. So if you're to try anything related to adult in China, that's probably your best bet.

Just don't plan on visiting China in the next 50 years and you'll be fine.
