All of phoenix is bad, even the nice looking parts,
which are always surrounded by really bad parts.
Don't be fooled by the modern buildings and fountains,
it's a big ghetto with pockets of affluence.
Everybody is hot and really pissed off about it,
and it's mostly been absorbed by mexico;
lots of violence and drugs.
Double the national average in property crimes
and more than double the homicide rate.
for example:
a few weeks ago some friends of mine were hanging out in their apartment when someone burst in and shot one of them in the face. ... just a drug-induced act of random violence from a total stranger.
I grew up there and the number of people I've known who were killed is in the double digits.
on the other hand, it would be a great place to find girls for porn.

Besides the heat, its actually a cool place to live. Prescott Valley is getting better too.
Ive you want to buy a house as an investment, do it in West Phoenix (Avondale/Goodyear). My parents bought a house and in 2 years the value went up $30k
