    Yes, you could say I am pretty proud (pics)

    I know very few people that knew what they wanted to be when they grew up, and actually fulfilled their childhood dreams, but my son did that today.

    Ever since he was five years old, my son has said he wanted to be a fireman when he grew up, and today this became a reality.

    When he was a senior in high school he got the opportunity to intern for Northrop-Grumman Fire Department. The following is from a scrapbook he made that year.

                                                                                                              That is called the up and over. The ladder is steadied by about 8 firefighters . . . . 4 holding the bottom, and then lines going in 4 corners with a firefighter at the end of each.

                                                                                                              Both of my kids took gymnastics before they even started school, so fear isn't really part of their vocabulary when it comes to stuff like that . . . plus I think he may take after me with ladders, as I have spent many years hanging off telephone poles and extension ladders.

                                                                                                              They had about 6 graduates do it, and it was obvious that this was one of his favorite exercises
