                                        I think your own beliefs, religious or not, are to be cherished, and that the beliefs or religion of others should be respected.

                                        Yes, there have been problems that have revolved around religion. But more often than not, throughout history, it's a leader using religion as a tool to exploit the people to advance his personal goals.
