                                My personal opinion is to always use your own server. If you host at blogspot or many other free hosting services for blog you will find that you cant upload images to them. So that REALLY hinders what you can do on them.

                                There is no advantage to hosting on the freeservers. If your gonna take time to set up a site and take the time to build links and traffic to it. Why do it on someone elses domain?

                                    Last week when this thread popped up I was inspired . . . I have been hearing the blog buzz for some time and this gave me the kick in the ass that was needed. So I took one of my more brandable domains and installed wordpress and got the tweaking.

                                    Mind you this domain was empty prior to my building with the exception of 2 submitted galleries . . . so traffic was nil.

                                    The site went live on monday . . . today stats report a total of 20000+ page views and 9000 uniques. This is in one week folks. I did nothing special other than design a site that everyone would like and it seems the word of mouth on it has done the deed

                                        Needless to say it has pulled 30 AFF sales . . . only totaled at 5 bucks or so . . . but I am using the revshare on that. 3 sales over at OC Cash, 2 sales over at coinscuties.com and 1 sales with dubcash.

                                        With a little marketing wizardry these things can take off over night.

Secondly, if you choose your name right you can subniche it out and create dif categories and sub-blogs to add posts to...toss in some....errr...

                                                                                        Its an include that allows people with bloglinker on there sites to have people instantly add links to there own sites. A link also appears going back to the site pointed to..(if i remember correctly). You will get added by quite a few blogs with that. Just make sure you have a master plan befor trading your traffic/links away anywhere.
