                would have suggested that to you also.... the best way to keep the site together....an iframe... no matter which design you use.... maybe seperated later by months or something else....

                                                                    -The requirements were for 100% html but the images there are very very light.

                                                                    -Sponsor banners and buttons will add the missing touches of color, also helps make them stand out.

                                                                    -If selected i'll take a banner spot instead of cash, the money should go to charity.

                                                                                                    Scott, I think you have so much more design sense than you're giving yourself credit for. There's a lot to be said for Spartan & Functional (info architecture-wise) -- especially when we're talking about text and idea-referencing, as would certainly be the case with a site dedicated to offering up the words and thoughts of our industry's best minds.

                                                                                                                Maybe a border, and a few changes to the header to make it sit better on the top. IMO the header takes away eye focus from the actual page itself. (it looks like it was designed more for a surfer site)

I grabbed the cartoon guy from google image search so you'd need someone else to draw one for you, if you went with this idea.

                                                                                                                                                                                                www.adultcreation.com decided tp join with a logo design for ambush. Might still come up with a version of the logo incooperated in a design later on.
