I think it's b/c to me, the c word sounds a bit denigrating and we feel attacked extra for being a woman, bitch just sounds like an everyday word.
But, my friends and I call each other kut (the dutch equivalent of c-u-n-t) all the time. Almost like sweet talking, LOL
