So by your logic if Bush tells me, "We have to invade Iraq and take out Saddam, because he might have WMDs and might use them or allow them to be used on us, " my proper response should then be to tell him that he is
"trying to predict the future that hasn't occured yet from our current view point. I don't know any sane person who thinks the future can be predicted."
