PEARL HARBOR - i bet the guys who went through the real deal loved that flick.

People watch movies for fiction and a distorted sense of reality. The difference with Moore's films is that they don't agree with the current "regime" or the with the people who hold the powers views... its that simple.

His tv show and hahahahahahahahaaries are great stuff. Sometimes he lacks tact, but he usually makes some good points. If this country had about 100 more Michael Moores out fighting the man, we'd probably all be a little better off.

His targets include big companies dumping dangerous waste, profitable companies that downsize employees while increasing the millions they pay out to their overpriced executives, corrupt politicians, corrupt companies, etc.

When I went to see Titanic, I was expecting a hollywood production based around some truths.

When I went to see Bowling for Columbine, I expected to see a facual d0cumentary.

What was presented in Bowling for Columbine, was not a d0cumentary. It was as fictional as Titanic was.

I think Michael Moore marketed his film as a hahahahahahahahaary to get more attention to it which has most certainly worked.

I guess Blair Witch was a failure too because it wasnt shot on tripods and track cameras?

get real, the point of this film was to get attention and so it has.

If you are too ignorant to watch something and take what you can from it and do your own research you should NOT be allowed to read books or watch films considering.

So would it be OK if MM made a "d0cumentary" about pornographers that showed most of use were into CP and beasty? After all, there might be a few items he got right and he might bring into light one of the actual CP people out there....right? Just because he made up stories and told half truths about everyone else in the industry, that would be OK? It would certainly get attention, which apparently is a good thing... and it would earn him money - also apparently a good thing.

I remember the outcry on the boards when the Bella Donna interview was shown on Nightline about how they edited and lied in order to make the industry look worse that it was, bump up ratings and to market it as news was absurd. But MM doing it against others is hunky dory.

It's easy to market something if you're going to lie. How many people would have gone to see BFC if the facts of the movie had preceeded it?

I merely pointed out that when others use the same creative reporting as MM did about OUR industry and call it "news" or a "d0cumentary", everyone rants and raves. And what IF MM did exactly what he did with BFC but did it re: the pornography industry?

But since BFC wasn't written about us, then it's apparently OK to fudge on the truth a little in order to sell a few movie tickets.

Cannes-bound Moore, the great protector of the U.S. working class, has outsourced the design of his Web site to a foreign company in Canada, records show.

PLANK -- based in Montréal, Québec -- is the development and design company behind MichaelMoore.com.

Meanwhile, Moore's site is hosted by a foreign owned company, Webcore Labs, of Calgary, Alberta Canada. [Webcore does maintain an office in Beverly Hills, CA.]

Moore did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

Moore is to get star billing at this year's Cannes Film Festival with the controversial FAHRENHEIT 9/11.

I think thats a pretty bitchy and childish argument. If I was saying the things he is I wouldn't host on US servers either - it's almost commonsense to host it in acountry that agrees more with your views.

that link provides no proof or anything of substance. It's just unbacked up opinion from an anti moore zealot with his own agenda. Not saying he doesn't have valid points, just it doesn't prove or disprove anything about "lying" one way or the other.

Since Bowling for Columbine is clearly NOT a d0cumentary, and MIchael Moore classified it as such, is he not lying?
