    I am famous in Iran

    my 80's 'net radio station has been up and running for about 6 months now and I have been doing my weekly live shows for about four. I have been getting more and more listeners and today I got an email from somone in Iran saying that they listen to me every week. So, I checked my geo stats and i have a huge amount (for me) of regular listeners in Iran.

    I have weird mental images of them jamming down to Wham.

                          they love music there - u know it's illegal to listen to music there and dance...sad

                          at weddings, they are not allowed to have a band play and the men and women dance seperate sides of the room

                          husmand and wife aren't even allowed to hold hands on the street walking

                          the worst are the beaches - they have a curtain(yes a curtain) that starts on the beach and goes out into the water.
                          the men swim on one side, the women swim on the other - ur not allowed to see them, and they have gurads with fully automatic guns watching making sure it doesnt happen.

                          in the main city, the gov't shut off the street lights saying "it causes traffic when people have to stop" - so now everyone drives crazy, traffic and accidents everywhere....wtf is the logic in that?

                          one fucked up country right now.
