do you think of GREED as healthy thing?

to a certain point, I believe greed to be a very healthy thing. without greed, I believe there is no more motivation to succeed...

some people think of greed in a very bad way, they think that as soon as you are a little greedy, you will end up a loser

what do you think?

do you think that greed is a healthy thing? (up to a certain limit, of course) or do you think that greed is simply a bad emotion?

greedy is good to motivate u to get/be more than u can.

but as long as its not being selfish, i think its good.

I believe that greed and having the will to suceed dont always go hand-in-hand, however alot of times they do, you can have the will to suceed and still donate money to the cancer society every year.

Being greedy means you're only worried about your own interests.

i think the want and the desire to simply want is good motovation, it doesnt become *greed* until its taken to a selfishness mode.......

Greed is not good when you are investing in stocks. You tend to chase after performance and get your ass kicked eventually.

Greed consumes.

I believe that being an entrepreneur is a healthy thing. But being greedy can encompass so many bad traits.
For example: cut throat business ethics. You lose sight of your FRIENDS... you forget your roots.

I've seen a lot of people get greedy and wind up miserable.

I agree. We see it happen to webmasters all the time.

Its one thing to be frugal, but the definition of greed is "An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth."

I have absolutely zero respect for greedy people.

Again, its one thing to pinch pennies and be wise with your money, but greedy people out to fuck anyone over for a buck will get their bad karma eventually.

From a purely evolutionary standpoint, greed is good. Our way of living doesn't have much with evolution or nature to do any more though. If we keep up living this way, the human species will end up as a pile of deformed freaks with no natural instincts or purposes. Not to mention dumb. Currently, poor and dumb people breed at a rate shockingly higher than those of rich and intelligent people.
