No no, that's Dinty Moore.
Michael Moore is that fat hypocrit who makes left wing propoganda films filled with fabricated data and creatively edited footage, while making millions off the misery and misfortune of others at the same time he's bashing republicans for doing the same thing.
What is it that gets people all riled up about this Dinty Moore fella? If ya don't fib a little you can't keep up with the REAL politicians. And afterall,
1) Civilians with assault weapons ARE silly.
2) Corporation DO exploit blue collar folks to beef up the wallets of executives.
3) 9/11 didn't NEED to happen.
4) The US didn't NEED to go to Iraq.
5) And the can DOES impart a bit of aluminum flavor on the stew, but it doesn't ruin the general bouquet.
Anyone who is pro-america and believes that everything Bush is doing for our 'great country' is the way to go, then obviously you will HATE Michael Moore.
Anyone who thinks Bush is an idiot and thinks that America is going down the drain(wich it sure is), then you are a pro-moore person.
Disney is a group of politically controlled robots. The executives of Disney know that if they agree to distribute Moore's movie about 911, maybe, just MAYBE Disneys reputation may not be so good.
There will be many haters of Michael Moore who will boycott Disney if they let Moore's movie be produced.... 'nuff said.

the level of idiocy from you children is truly astounding.
moore's agent trots out an accusation meant to stir up publicity and you morons accept it as fact even when it was denied by disney.
so typical of the loser mindset in this industry.
I'm not a dinosaur, I'm a crocodile. I've seen dinosaurs come and go and I'm left unimpressed.

Wrong child. Using 9/11 as a prop to attack the president just because you're a leftist nut case makes you the scum of the earth in the eyes of the majority.
Internet losers tend to be leftist and believe the bullshit moore puts out and doesn't understand why what he does is wrong.

There's nothing wrong with liking the Michael Moores and Rush Limbaughs of the world but you have to be one hell of a moron to think that any of their ilk is unbiased, nonpartisan, or in any way have a goal to distribute "truths".
Originally posted by DonovanPhillips Bowling for Columbine was so full of blatant lies that I'm NOT surprised Moore's new movie won't be distributed. Michael Moore won't even deny he "made up" a lot of information in "Columbine".
Anyone that listens to Michael Moore is a fucking moron. He's just as slanted in his views as Rush Limbaugh.
It's amazing How much you dont know what you are talking about. Movie companies dont want to get sued so teams of lawyers go over a film before it comes out.Bowling For Columbine is the most successful hahahahahahahahaary made in history. If it was all made up how come there are no law suits against him to date?Fox sheep really piss me off.
The Miramax Weinsteins are famously huge Clinton supporters. This film was in motion to be released before the election in the event that Hillary would be drafted to run for the presidency.
Don't look for any major studio to release this film before the 2004 election, it can only hurt Bush's re-election chances (and thus hurt Hillary's 2008 bid).

What are you even talking about? You can't successfully sue someone for making something up. You can only sue someone for making something up about you that is libelous. If Michael Moore, Rush Limbaugh ,Sean Hannity, Alan Colmes or any of a hundred others distort facts in order to tell a story from a partisan point of view, who would sue them and for what?
This thread is too funny. I don't like Moore much but it's funny to see someone get under the right wingers' skin so badly. Bring him up any time and the shouts of "left wing nutbag" and "propaganda" come out of the woodwork. Why? Because Moore shows the truth simply, so anyone can understand what's going on, even the ignorant people who still support Bush. So, since they're too thick headed to ever admit they were wrong or consider changing their minds, Moore's films must be "leftist propaganda".
Anyway this case with Disney is pretty cut and dry. I don't know why Moore would be stupid enough to sign with them in the first place. Want to know why...
THE SAUDI ROYAL FAMILY OWNS FUCKING DISNEY! Do a google search for Kingdom Holding Company. Good old American family programming created by a fascist despotism who attacked America. Lovely.

You've just described Rush Limbaugh! I guess Moore and Limbaugh were conjoined twins and separated at birth. one went to film' the other to radio.

From someone voting for Kerry in the next election, you're as nutty as the

Are you implying that Michael Moore doesn't tell the whole and complete un-biased truth? As if he has other motives, such as multi-million dollar "d-ocumenteries" and book deals?
Bull shit! Why would some lie about stuff like this!? You're just a typical right-wing idiot that can't face the facts!

Yes, for the most part. I think he opens peoples eyes to things like the Saudi Royal family/Bush connection that stupid people would have no clue about otherwise. The lower 25% of the US population IQ wise, the demographic Bush spends most of his time trying to keep, don't read. They don't watch real news. They watch 2 minute news clips at best and not much else. Michael Moore brings important issues to the forefront of conversation because he makes popular movies about them.
How many of the simpler Americans had any idea about the fear campaign that's been shoved down their throats since Ronald Reagan? None, they all thought it was normal good old American TV. I've talked to less intelligent people who watched Bowling for Columbine, and they stats to realize the BS they're being fed. This is what scares the right worse than anything. They know educated people don't vote for them unless they have a direct hand in the party, they need the blind sheep who don't pay attention to anything. Moore's popularity and the way he explains things in simple terms that anyone can understand is why he scares the shit out of Bush and co.

I don't know what is true or not in Moore's film and I'm certainly not going to try and figure out what is 100% truth and what isn't but the basic arguments regarding Moore's film involve such things as changed dates of events, changed locations of events, intentionally distorted statistics and so on.
And yes, I've seen the arguments both for and against Moore's distortion of facts of no, I've never picked up the phone or looked up old newspaper headlines from Flint, Michigan (or wherever) in order to find out what date Mr. Heston gave a speech on.

I love the million accusations with 0 backed up facts. I feel like I'm on the O'Reilly factor or something. Still waiting fools, every time right wing morons post BS it gets de-bunked in seconds. Moore has about 5 movies and 3 books... let's hear all these outrageous lies.
There are plenty of educated people who vote Republican and plenty of educated people who vote Democrat. Plenty enough (excuse me) "idiots" on either side too.
Politics is largely a question of your philosophy regarding what the world (or your city/country) should be like. How can someone claim "the truth" regarding such things?
Maybe you haven't noticed but many on the right call those on the left "sheep" and vice versa. Both think the same thing of people with the opposite views. What makes you think that they are the sheep and propagandized and you are the brilliant , independent, free-thinking holder of the truth?
Isn't it the more mature position to realize that many people with access to the exact same information can still come to opposite conclusions regarding it?

fun thing about the net. anyone can say anything (for the most part)
I am not for or against Moore - not saying he is right or wrong one way or the other. At least he can defend himself, whereas the pages attacking him arent even signed by someone with a real name, just right wing Bowling For Truth idiots who believe anything they read in the first place, and are quick to point the finger at Moore for telling a lie when they believe lies that are aimed to go against whatever Moore says, anyway, itys worth a read to hear him point things out. Maybe youll take a look.

If you are not familiar with the whole debate, there are whole webpages devoted to just this thing and there have been threads ad nauseum about it. I'm sure you can also easily find Moore's reply to "the accusations".

I am a brilliant, independent, free thinker, thanks. Holder of the truth not so much, no civilian knows the truth about shit.
I have to respectfully disagree with your ideas. You're simply incorrect. This is not a republican/democrat argument, I'm neither. Only the lower 15% of the IQ belt would vote based on party and party alone, no matter what the leader has done. This is about blatant abuses of power, lies, treason, etc etc etc committed by a President and the only way he'll get re-elected is by people being ignorant, people not knowing the truth. That's not my opinion, that's a fact. Intelligent people who know the facts will not be voting for Bush, it has nothing to do with "my side" or people who differ from "my opinion", it's Karl Rove's campaign strategy, keep the people in swing states ignorant. The also don't even try for the 11% of the population who read newspapers daily. This is why when you ask anyone who will be voting for Bush to name one good thing he has done in 4 years, they can't. The best thing they can do is mumble some crap about the "war on terror" and start waiving the flag. Simple people want simple answers that make them feel good and not worry about the would, that's what Bush provides. This isn't about left wing vs. right wing, the TV only tells you it is. This is a bad president vs. an uneducated public.
If it were any different, they wouldn't be trying to censor anything that shows how terrible they are, they'd let people make up their own minds.
Why would he be? and why would you expect his movies/film/doc whatever to not be politically one sides? hell everyones is.Is Oreilly nonpartisan? If Moore was he wouldnt get the attention he does.
Me personally, I dont like Moore, I think he a slob, but I like people who get under peples skin and who can raise this much fear in the right. Or at least distress, gotta give it to the guy, he has a massive fan base, whether he does it for money or not, he still pushing against the right, that in itself is enough for me.
hell, its at least entertaining, and thats what films are supposed to be anyway.
entertainment, kinda like non partisan news on TV, yeah right.
Originally posted by Colin And I mentioned it two threads above. Thanks ;-)
Did Moore's reply help you figure out whether Moore always tells the plain truth and is nonpartisan?
Let me help you if you haven't figured it out yet. Michael Moore is a liberal with a liberal point-of-view and a liberal slant to everything he says. This is just as true as saying that Rush Limbaugh is a conservative with a conservative point-of-ciew and a conservative slant to everythign he says. Neither feels the need to present a balanced point of view. Neither of these two is likely to present information which conflicts with the view they believe is the correct one -- even though there is much evidence on either side of neither any debate. They are partisan.

Well, I followed the link in the first post in this thread and read where Moore said about his new film "If this is partisan in any way it is partisan on the side of the poor and working people in this country who provide fodder for this war machine"
Since you agree he is partisan and presents a partisan point-of-view,
does that make him a liar in your eyes?
Originally posted by Colin If you are not familiar with the whole debate, there are whole webpages devoted to just this thing and there have been threads ad nauseum about it. I'm sure you can also easily find Moore's reply to "the accusations".
Obviously I've read the arguments about this, I'm not they type of person to talk about something I'm not informed about. I have yet to find a single "lie" in either of the 2 books of his I''ve read, or on any of the websites bashing him. He fully explains any accusations I've heard on his own site, if you'd like to point out one that you think is especially wrong and maybe I've missed, rather than just referring to some bullshit written online by some anonymous jackass, it may add slightly to the conversation.

hehe, so in your mind, partisan means liar? Wow the religious right has really done a number on you guys down there, I know all the TV pundits are liars, but they're not everything.
Up here, someone can be on a political side and still be telling the truth, sometimes. Just because he's partisan and the facts support him and not you, doesn't make him a liar. Wake up.

Yes, we know that. What you fail to get is that Moore uses the truth to make his points, and Rush lies. Sad that you can't tell the difference between the two. Scary, actually.

I have stated it before...but will state it again. Moore is an entertainer...no more than that...and he is not about "truth" but is about making money...and is laughing all the way to the bank. Only fools...such as you are...take Moore seriously as a teller of "truth" and a "champion" of conscience.
When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!
You're all diseased. The republican party has always been about sticking together and just protecting republican ideals. That's why they've been so organized. The left is finally getting organized and they're becoming just as bad as the republicans.
Noone's admitting that there can be compromise and that's what's causing the shit state our country is in.
Here's the real deal, in clucks NO SPIN ZONE.
The Bush family is in bed with the bin ladens, they always have been. The bin ladens deny ties with osama but they still have them, it's as simple as that. Since Bush is such good friends with them he'll believe them. It's not a matter of a hidden pro-terror agenda by the bush administration, it's a matter of trusting old friends who really shouldn't be trusted.
The right has now gone so far to defend Bush that they'll claim that the bin laden family and the Saudi royal family are innocent people. This is bullshit and it's only going to cause problems. Even if they're not all evil people we still won't touch them when they're probably the first people to interrogate to get info on al quaeda.
Now the left is putting Bush in with the Saudis and the bin ladens making it seem like he actually WANTED 9/11 to happen. We all make mistakes. When you're the president, trusting the wrong people can be devastating. The guy may suck as a president, but for christ sake give him a break when it comes to that.
Eh you all suck. Rabble rabble rabble rabble.
