    WTF happened to Vegas room rates??? They skyrocketed

    I was in vegas 2 months ago, I got a great deal at Monte Carlo
    I am going back in a couple of weeks, was just checking prices, they have tripled from 2 months ago. Is it the "school is out "syndrome?

    Wheres best place online to find great hotel rates, besides expedia and hotels.com

      yea lots of people travel in the summer so of course they will raise rates

          rates are raised alot for summer.

          if you get a harrahs players card you can just stay there and just walk to venetian if you want to save money.

          If not you can stay at venetian or bellagio foir about $350 a night

                  There might be a convention or something else goin on. That happens often and rooms are usually booked solid across the board.
                  I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

                                                  My dad was just in Vegas last week and was talking to a manager at one of the hotels. They told him that revenue from rooms is now the biggest money maker in Vegas. They are pulling more from the rooms than from the gambling these days.
