I've learned that being creative is not just your state of mind.... it is also not just your hacked version of Photoshop.... nor is it some bullshit persona, or fantastic spam deal for a discounted price.....
it's about your environment. It's about believing in what you do with no reservations and no limitations. It's about getting in tune with yourself and pulling ideas and thoughts from your mind that you never knew you had.
Of course, this thread is focusing on your environment, and I have nearly completed mine. A place where I can be at ease, enjoy my surroundings, and not complicate my mind with trying to improve it.
Real design is about growing.... individually as well as professionally and technically.
It is NOT sitting in some cheesy room, (or your bedroom or living room) with a $5 dollar K-Mart desk and a bottle of Jack Daniels and burning out a 'design' in 20 minutes, and scoring the fastest buck possible from whatever sucker you can convince THIS week.
And there are VERY few designers who are truly commited to the art.

LCDs have advanced to the point that they are useable.
And even with this overpriced Sony LCD, I still find it more blurry than a cheap ass $100 buck CRT...... but I gotta look at the overall picture. And overall, it's a better screen. The color is better, my compositions are better, and I'm seeing things I never was able to see before.

things have changed drastically.
Good for you. BTW, did you get the house plants that you wanted? And will you give up your beef jerkey on line store that you order from? You said it once, but the search doesn't work with key words.
