                                                                            It goes from very educated to complete idiot.

                                                                            I havent posted in a while but after re-reading all 6 pages here's my conclusions:

                                                                            1.) MDMA, which was legal as late as the 1980's, may have unknown effects.

                                                                            2.) Taking any drug is a risk, either becuase of known effects of the drug, or the risk of not knowing what is in the drug, or for first time users: if you will respond unpredictably to the drug.

                                                                            3.) There is confusion about the term "ecstacy" or "X" or "e"
                                                                            From my understanding estacy is MDMA, however you never know what you may be buying.

                                                                            4.) If your going to use any drug, educate yourself about it first. Know the effects, you'll be much better off when you experience them firsthand. And you'll be better off to help someone that is having a problem with them.

                                                                            5.) If you're going to use Ecstasy, use a drug testing kit from dancesafe.org. Why risk it?

                                                                            6.) MDMA releases seratonin , it takes 2-4 weeks for the body to recover from this. Doing MDMA more often then this, is opening yourself up to potential long term damage. Key word: MODERATION

                                                                            7.) Just like heavy drinkers switch to water to avoid bad effects at the end of the night, X users should watch their body temperature and stay hydrated.

                                                                            8.) YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS WHILE HIGH.

                                                                            9.) Please respect those that are choosing to not indulge in your drug of choice.

                                                                            10.) Know if your drug use has become too much for you, and have the balls to do something about it or ask for help.

                                                                                                                        You tend to focus on this one thing only. "any entity defining what is legal or illegal to injest."

                                                                                                                        That's all good and well..... fine, you're some sort of drug freedom fighter. Whatever makes you feel good.

                                                                                                                        But what they don't see is the fact that they are gambling with their very lives. And I don't mean just risk of overdose. I mean:


                                                                                                                        You face addiction. You can profess moderation all you want, and hey, that's great.... but if you're using, you face the possibility of addiction. And more people than not get addicted to shit, rather easily. That is the nature of drugs.

                                                                                                                        You face losing your freedom. Remember, these drugs you love so much are still ILLEGAL. You can justify it with analogys of alcohol and cigarettes all you want, but the fact remains, alcohol and cigarettes are NOT illegal. If you get nailed using LSD, Coke, X, Weed, etc..... you ARE going to jail. And on a side note, the IRS seizes ALOT of cars and homes because of busted drug users. You don't mind giving that up?

                                                                                                                        The odds are also, if you use consistently, that at least one other person knows about it. Probably more. And the odds are that they use as well. Your risk just increased exponentially. If THEY get nailed, how confident are you that they are going to sell YOUR ass out to save theirs? Again, you risk your very freedom.

                                                                                                                        Dealers: Okay, so you say you're just an occasional user.... you don't deal. But it's no secret that illegal drug dealers are not exactly the fucking poster boys for your basic upsatnding citizen. Fuck up a deal, or piss one of them off, and you now face losing your life, your families life, or your property. (again)

I suggest everyone who does it, and those who judge people who use ecstacy to watch it.

                                                                                                                                                                                            From my understanding estacy is MDMA, however you never know what you may be buying.

If your going to use any drug, educate yourself about it first. Know the effects, you'll be much better off when you experience them firsthand. And you'll be better off to help someone that is having a problem with them.

                                                                                                                                                                                            5.) If you're going to use Ecstasy, use a drug testing kit from dancesafe.org. Why risk it?

                                                                                                                                                                                            6.) MDMA releases seratonin , it takes 2-4 weeks for the body to recover from this. Doing MDMA more often then this, is opening yourself up to potential long term damage. Key word: MODERATION

                                                                                                                                                                                            7.) Just like heavy drinkers switch to water to avoid bad effects at the end of the night, X users should watch their body temperature and stay hydrated.

                                                                                                                                                                                            8.) YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS WHILE HIGH.

                                                                                                                                                                                            9.) Please respect those that are choosing to not indulge in your drug of choice.

                                                                                                                                                                                            10.) Know if your drug use has become too much for you, and have the balls to do something about it or ask for help.

                                                                                                                                                                                                I will echo what has already been said a bunch of times here..MODERATION is the key. I was turned on to E a few years ago in Miami and it has been a great ride. I have had some of the best times at parties listening to some of the best DJs in the world, dancing my ass off and making friends. All it does is release seratonin in the brain, not dissimilar from what Prozac does. Of course, abuse it too much and you can become depressed so that's where the moderation comes in. But all effects are reversable, no permanent effects are known or have been proven.

                                                                                                                                                                                                No one I know has become addicted, I guess this is because its not an addictive drug, phsyically at least. Although some people like the feeling so much, they lose control and feel they have to "roll" like every week or even every day. But like everything else, there are always those who abuse things and give whatever substance it is a bad name.

                                                                                                                                                                                                There is a great site called dancesafe.org which provides pill testing and even sells kits so users can test the quality and purity of their pills before ingesting them. This way you know what you're getting. If you're gonna do it, do it responsibly!

                                                                                                                                                                                                Like many substances including alcohol, it can enhance your life if used in the right circumstances and is not abused.
