So! My stalker is back!! ACK!

Long story short, I had this stalker dude about 7-8 years ago. I moved to Vancouver, he found me out there. He didn't come out there, but found my number and address and would write and call me. I then moved back to Toronto and he then found me out here about 2.5 years ago. He would drop by here and there and I would freak right out and threaten him and shit.

Don't get me wrong, he's completely harmless (to me anyway, himself, well I am thinking perhaps) Finally, I told him that I was getting married and that he just just die. That was like 2 years ago then SHAZAM, dude called me this year on my birthday, then on New Years and then the other day. Now I can handle that, tell him to fuck off and hang up, no biggie. WELL, when he called the last time he started to ask me about "Precious" my dog. I was shocked because he had no clue about my dog or so I thought. As it turns out, he's been sniffing around my house and my neighbours told him all about my dog, that I travel a lot etc.,.

My question is, do I talk to my neighbours and tell them about my displeasure of them yammering about shit to a stranger and that they have no right, or do I brush it off and let it go? I am moving soon so it's not really going to matter, but I am still choked that they would even fathom telling a stranger about me or anything related to me.

I'm not threatened at all by this guy, it's more of an annoyence than anything, but I am concerned about the neighbours talking to people that come sniffing around my house...

End of rant, I can't leave my house because of the bitter cold and the snow, so here I bitch! lol

I would feel threaten and put restraining order on his ass that's spooky shit and if he has been doing this for years you have no idea to what extent this man might go. Years is along time for someone to dedicate to a obession....That's my two cents

What probably happened is the guy casually mentioned to your neighbor "I'm looking for Sherie, we were good friends in school and I wanted to catch up." They reply, "oh I think she's in Las Vegas this week, or maybe Phoenix, she's gone so often its hard to remember." Not really their fault.

This makes ZERO sense. The guy has been stalking her for years. I am sure he knows more than enough to convince the neighbors he is a friend. They're just supposed to magically know she has a stalker and that this guy is nuts? It's not like they gave out big secrets like her alarm code or something. Wow, I had no idea you had a stalker like that, at for 7-8 years!! If he's really harmless, then I doubt he would have gone to your neighbors to just chit chat about you and find out more info. It sounds more like he's very obsessive and wants to know everything about you and your life. I would tell your neighbors about the guy, that way if they do see him around, they'll at least know about him and could tell him off as well. But honestly, I would file a police report and probably want to get at least a restraining order against him. If he is talking to your neighbors, the next step is likely getting closer and closer to you... I hope it doesn't get to that, but I think the odds are likely he will.

Like wiredguy said he's obsessed with you and wants to know everything. You being a female im sure youve dealt with at least 1 desperate/needy guy. When you didnt answer the phone or respond to his calls you just kep ignoring him and the more you did it the more obsessed he was for your attention right? Next time he calls just tell him everything about you but change some stuff like where you grew up but stay in line with things like where you live now (he obviously knows) and that you have a dog. Don't give out any sensitive info just things like your favorite color, favorite foods, favorite car etc etc. The more you push from these stalkers the more they try to pull you in. Again, im no expert just my suggestion but if you havn't gottent help from the police you need to do so asap.

I'm pretty sure I could beat him up. I never did go to the police, I have just thought of him as harmless and I use to feel sorry for him to be honest. And for some reason he tends to come around when I am single. Odd.

you made some good points as well (she should have informed her neighbors, i totally agree!) but on the flipside of that, i know my neighbors would never give out info about my life to ANYONE. if someone were to ask them which car on the street was mine (for example), they wouldnt tell them.

her neighbors, assuming they have common sense, wouldnt even have a CONVERSATION with a stranger, let alone, give out a little detail or two about her life.
