    Anyone here use Adobe Premiere?

    Is it the best editing software out right now?

      that is all i have used for 6+ years now, i have tried others, and only final cut for mac comes anywhere close IMO for software in this price/quality range

          We have used Premier for years but we are just about to make the move over to Final Cut Pro. We need a new editing suite and have decided to move to a G5 to see if it really is as good as they say.

              No, there's one video editing program by the same people that make Sound Forge and I cannot think of the name right now. But its very good though.

                  It's Vegas. I switched to it after I got tired of Premier's crappy interface. Vegas is pretty stable and user friendly for editing and rendering. But it's not as sophisticated as Final Cut Pro. Here's their link:

                          A video editing program is only as good as it's video editor. I know people that have FCP and can't cut shit with it. Plus it's slow. And it can't edit in real time.

                          Vegas is fast, but Vegas sucks as well. The only thing vegas has going for it is it's speed and how easy it is to use. It can't output for shit and it's transitional effects are weak. It sucks ass at fonts and has no real frame manipulation tools other than zoom or spin. I think Vegas was built specifically for newbie porn editors.

                          I still use Vegas and I hate it. It's like being an adult with fuckin' training wheels. But, I am saving up for a higher end system. I'll be having a studio built behind my house for the new system.
