Programming student looking for projects to build my portfolio

I'm a student that wants to work on some PHP projects to build my portfolio. I'm studying in web & object programming.

If you guys need a script done, just post your ideas here, or message me over ICQ and if I do it, I'll give you a copy for free just for giving me the idea :D

So far, I received 2 projects in my e-mail. I'll do them this week. Thanks to bignasty and Eddie for their ideas.

If anyone else have some ideas, just send me an e-mail. I will have 2 weeks of holidays soon, and I want to work on some programming projects during that time.

I need a script that will generate a MySQL database file. It needs to make a new row for every week between Jan 1st 2004 and Dec 31st 2006 (it wont stop there, but i can modify it to work). I need ot also be able to timestamp the start date and end date. Each week starts on Friday and ends on Thursday. I could easily do this, but I don't know how to determain what day is waht of each month. Ex: June 5th 2004 is a saturday 2005 its a thursday. Got to make sure it generates these correctly.

Like Booby I'm looking for dev work -- I have been doing php/mysql development since 2001 - loads of experience and the code is clean and fast and well tested ... just like my g/f
