    As my friend Lensman said, "Make no mistake; if there was no free porn, they'd all have to pay for it." He is of course correct. So the question then becomes "Do you need to offer highly explicit, 'free samples' as a means of trying to sell more porn?" From the looks of most "free sites," the answer is "yes" ? but "most" is not "all."

                                                      when gallery submitting i usually have 35 hi-res pics and 1 text link that says More FREE Porn that leads to my hub where all the galleries have at least 50 hi res pics and no adverts, i find this distreacts the surfer from the pics.....

                                                                                          I agree in principle that giving away less free content might increase sales, however its just not practical in today's marketplace.

                                                                                          It's similar to car dealers saying that if none of them were willing to negotiate, then everyone would have to pay sticker price for the cars and they'd make more money.
                                                                                          This in principle is true, but due to the competitive nature of the marketplace there would always be someone (more likely several someones) willing to cut the prices to steal business from their competition.

                                                                                          In this business our commodity is traffic, and we all work hard to try and get and keep as much traffic as we possibly can so we can convert it into sales.
                                                                                          If we cut out the reason the traffic comes to our sites (free content) then there will inevitably be someone else out there offering the content to take the traffic from you.

                                                                                          You can't just sit on your soapbox and cry foul while your competition puts you out of business. You do what you have to do to make a living.
