aww bad night? drip ketchup on your shirt or something?
Great night actually. I sat at an outside bar on the beach in Holland and had drinks with a good friend and business associate. Our conversations led to a few questions and I am trying to get some serious feedback here.
How about if you play along and absorb a bit of education instead of being a prick? Just a thought...but probably too much to ask of the typical GFY sheep such as yourself.

easy man, when did i come off as a prick? it was probably _after_ you called me a waste of bandwidth.. i was being civil.
Knowledge of yourself is key to know what success is to you. In such a materialistic society if you were to ask 100 children at a school what success is, the overwhelming majority of them would relate it to material items such as cars, houses, toys and money.
But to those who've lived a long time they will see it the opposite. The key is knowledge of yourself and confidence who you are and your place in the world. Hollow success is material wealth, and you can never satisfy the urge no matter how much you get. True success is knowledge of yourself and the understanding of what makes you happy and complete and that is often knowing others and helping them through their stuggle.

I have started 2 threads tonight. You have contributed nothing positive to either thread. In the past, I have seen the same with you. That makes you a prick in my book.

A wise man once told me: "Go with what you know. Do what you know you're good at. If you don't like what you're doing, you're not going to stick with it and you won't make any money."
About two months after that conversation, when I actually got the nerve up to start doing what I like to do rather than what I thought made money, I started making money and enjoying myself.
Advice: Following the crowd isn't necessarily going to be profitable if you aren't doing something you like. Go with what you know; do what you know you're good at, and enjoy what it is you're doing.

This is the useless drivel of a failure.
When you've failed often enough you change the meaning of success so you can rationalize away your failure.
Yes, material wealth is meaningless. keep telling yourself that champ.
I'm not a dinosaur, I'm a crocodile. I've seen dinosaurs come and go and I'm left unimpressed.

Right or wrong....At least he is thinking about his answer and that was the point of this thread.

Yes, the keys to success are knowing all you can about what you do, surrounding yourself with smart people and never being satisfied with what you made yesterday.

i'm not so poor that i can't afford guns, there's your truth. come get at me playboy
1) The ability to see things that others do not.
2) The ability to take something that someone else has written off and make it work for you.
3) The ability to take your vision and others doubts and make them work for you some how.
It doesn't hurt to have a plan of attack either.
you'll never be so rich that someone with a little motivation can't take it all from you. then if that's your success and it's all gone what are you, and that's if you're still even alive to deal with it.

That would be oh so profound if the poor didn't die every day.
