Being a man who uses Adwords as his main means of making money I finally decided to buy some TGP traffic.

Well, as of yesterday I am 0:4,012 I wont say the sponsor as they've been very personable with me and pretty helpful. They're one of the big guys, and I've read almost nothing but praises about them on the boards. But holy shit is this natural?

Also I'm taking the visitor directly to the main page instead of a gallery to bypass the shitty click through rates to the sponsor. (the main page actually contains a huge number of sample videos that are clearly visible.) The tgp traffic was bought from a reputable source, so I know it's not crap traffic.

Has anyone else experienced this? What a way to scare someone out of the tgp or mgp route eh? I'll experiment a bit more with submitting galleries, but if all else fails i'll just go back to my 1:150-200 adwords campaigns. I just want to find a way to spend less money and make more. *greedy*

Any other similar stories?

could be lots of things factoring into it not converting (but that is very bad) try another sponsor, dont base your opinion on the tgp/mgp game on on sponsor who converted like shit, i'm on average 1:300 with my tgp/mgp traffic, just gotta find what that traffic wants and it's obviously not whatever you're sending them to now

I'd have to agree with 1:10k comment tgp is not nearly the great source it used to be! Unless the site is giving away memberships it will be difficult to get cash out of it!

yeah, im thinking about firing off some more traffic to a free trial sponsor, could do better. I always can fall back on adwords, but im just looking to expand a bit here. (I want to make a living off of this, just like everyone else. )

does that program track first page clicks or something ?
even if it does, it's still pretty bad ... but i've had that before myself also with unfiltered traffic

I'd wait a bit more, it might pick up, if not then just drop them ofcourse.

Submit your own galleries to the TGP sites, use the sponsors content, which if they are any good they will supply to you. After all are you 100% sure where the TGP traffic you purchased has been before, it may just be played out. A surfer can only see so many galleries before he gets bored ?

If you think that's bad listen to this...

I run a ton of Ad-Words campaigns too. I used a sponsor a couple of weeks ago that averaged 1:1500

Remember, this is PPC traffic so the people know that the cost of joining is $4.95 before they click. That really sucks.

I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

holy crap pornwolf, that is insane. That might be a blatant sign of shaving right there. I kill any campaign that doesnt bring me in a sale after my first 200 clicks. I'm doing about $60 a day in profits but I cant seem to break past that. It pays my bills but its not NEARLY enough to get by on without another job.

Of course it is.. you're sending blind tgp traffic to a tour. YOu can easily throw 25K at it and not make a single sale.

sly, thought i'd experiment a bit. The sponsors page is set up very much like a gallery. (let me say that there are 20 videos on the main page.) I thought I'd try to bypass the low CTR on gallery pages.

Maybe it just didnt work. I don't see why it would be any worse though? You have a gallery page with 6 videos, and you have a main page with 20 much higher quality videos. I'm going to get into submitting galleries myself though to TGP's and linklists. (sly!)

Or maybe I should just figure out a way to make more than $60 a day via adwords...

I would have thought buying TGP traffic was very hit and miss, you really do not know where it's been and it's quality. Wouldn't it be better to submit your own stuff, maybe even fork out for a paid listing.
