                  When I was in LA in my 20's, came home one night and our condo had a zillion cops on the street all around it. Said WTF? Then saw the bomb squad truck and said holy shit.

                  Turned out my neighbor's door was blown apart by a bomb placed right outside it and about 6 feet from our door. Found out he was head of construction for one of the big skyscrapers being built in downtown LA and he had fired some contractors or something and they came to kill him.
