    US Pussies out of Falluja

    Now, I am not Mr. Super Patriot and everything (I never thought the Iraq invasion was a good idea) but I always had pride in the capabilities of US armed forces. That's why I am confused by the US' pullout (some spin it as "partial") out of Fallujah.

    Once again, US doesn't think coming in... gets resistance... feels political heat... pulls out. Sound fucking familiar? Yeah, it should--I just described Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia, and now... Fallujah.

    What the fuck? Like it says in the movie APOCALYPSE NOW "Don't get off the boat, unless you're prepared to go all the way."

          They aren't 'giving up' anything. They just switched out the areas with the Iraqi military for a holding action. It isn't like we conceeded the areas to the insurgents.
