    Help bring Dokk back to Jamaica

    I just talked to my old friend Dokk, who, along with helping a lot of us get into this biz, also introduced many of us to Negril, Jamaica. Dokk told me that he won't be able to attend this year's event because of a recent financial setback.

    WELL FUCK THAT!

    So we have already collected more than half of whats needed to bring Dokk back to Negril, and we're looking for a few more of his real friends to step up and help out. Negril wouldn't be the same without the Dokkster, so let's make it happen.

                              EDIT: If it wasn't for Dokk hosting his yearly event there, I wouldn't have gone to Jamaica 3 of the last 5 years. Won't make it this year, but contributing to his trip would be my pleasure!

                                                  Well, I am shocked, and flattered and floored all at the same time. I absolutely did not know anyone remembered or cared... this is way beyond anything I ever ever dreamed of.

                                                  About a year and a half ago I departed the business. The reason.. here it is. I took 1 xanax and 1 valium and i didn't know you couldn't mix them. As a result my wife tried to put me away.. as in for good.

                                                  I wasn't a drug addict or anything like that,and everybody makes mistakes but I let the wife talk me into just dropping everything.. and I did.. and it was a mistake. There were a couple of domains i'd put through for transfer and didn't know they were locked.. so i got em snagged by others when they should not have. I never ever ever meant to hurt to rip anybody. 'NEVER.

                                                  Anyway.. she put me in a position that would't let me return to the air or what i'd done so long.. and month by month proceeded to continue to suck the life outa me.. and about nov 14, she took my daughter... and disappeared.. and i still don't know where they are exactly. Yesterday they showed up with a big truck, i'd told her she could have whatever she wanted.. i shoulda been a little more specific.. when I came back from lunch with my daughter.. EVERYTHING was gone.. lol.. well except light bulbs and toilet paper.. they even fucked up the walls ripping off pictures.

                                                  I managed to hang onto my big tv and a couple of computers but i've got lawn chairs to sit on, 1 pot, couple pans, a few dishes and the basics.. was married for 10 years.. and I guess my biggest mistake was marrying a stripper... lol..

                                                  There has never been a day that i've forgiven myself for leaving the way I did and doing what I did that I didn't want to do.. but given a choice between family or anything else.. even if it wasn't a good relationship i was bound to try to save it even if it meant working at the corner gas station. (which i did for a while).

                                                  Steve Lightspeed iCQ'd me and told me how great it would be to see me again in Jamaica and i told him.. dude.. there's 85 in the bank and nothing to sit on, drink out of or eat off of in the house so I just wouldn't be able to go.

                                                  He said "You ARE going. Start packing"... lol.. and gave me the url for this thread. I almost cringed cause i thought i'd be seeing a roasting of dokk alive.. but instead.. oh my god.. people i've loved and cared for and called friends.. that still consider me a friend?

                                                  It's the most wonderful shocking thing i've ever had happen to me in my whole life (except when ompi rescued me from the nuthouse when my wife was trying to keep me there)..

                                                  But now she's gone... and the dokkster is back.

                                                  And i've never ever ever been so glad to see anybody like you guys in my whole life.
