I've been looking at the SL series, SL500, 600, AMG 55 etc... problem is, they all look the same from the exterior; but the prices can range dramatically from the low-en SL500. So my point is one can get the SL500, to 'look cool', very few will realize what the difference is under the hood.

Just jumping from SL500 to SL600 you might put in as much as $40,000.

So when it comes down to money, most of us will end up getting the more affordable SL500, because it looks just as cool.

Where on the streets will you actually use this extra power & speed?

The CL is around 180, not sure about the SL. I think its a bit cheaper.

Something tells me this is bs. Not you just the posting your referring to. The torque is way too little for that kind of accellelation with 3600lbs.
